Search, compare and evaluate Providers

Did you know?

  • About 99,000 physicians -- or about 16% of those eligible to participate in the Medicare quality reporting program -- submitted reports at least once during the 2007 reporting period, with higher-than-average rates of participation among anesthesiologists, ophthalmologists and emergency care physicians.
  • US Health & Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt says that publicly releasing cost and quality data about medical providers would drive down health care costs while improving quality.

This is one of those providers who just shows up with an EOB. I'm not sure who they are or what services they provided to me. The healthcare system NEEDS transparency!

Dr. Caprio has been our family physician (as well as my parent's physician) for many years. He's always accessible, easy to talk to, and is a "no-non-sense" clinician (which is a good thing) that has a good batting average of diagnosing our health issues on the first office visit. I don't think that he is accepting "new" patients any more, and wish he was as we often recommend him to neighbors and friends.

Head of vascular surgery at Vandy and must be a REALLY busy guy. Breezed in and out. Acted like he had seen it all and overlooked things. Literally went back for a follow up and he said "Oh wow! We missed that one didn't we?" No kidding. Think I will opt for someone a bit more thorough and not so nonchalant about things.
